The Lost Six / Chapter 02

Stitched Heart

Guarded and whole

The heart that loved too freely until nothing was left. Mended with bold stitches and new boundaries, ready to receive the love it used to give away.

What it means

Half of this heart gave everything; the other half learned to keep something for itself. The stitches mark where you drew the line. Loving yourself is not selfish — it is the seam that holds the rest together.

Chapter 02 / The full story

The story of the Stitched Heart

“I can love you and still keep half of my heart for me.”

Part 1

Lost

The heart loved first and loved loudest. It answered every text, forgave every late apology, and called it loyalty. It thought love meant holding nothing back, so it gave until it split down the middle.

Part 2

The turn

Split open, the heart finally saw both halves. One half had been giving. The other had been waiting, quietly, to be chosen. The heart stitched the two together with thread it never used before: boundaries.

Part 3

Found

Pink and blue, side by side. The stitches are loud on purpose, so everyone can see where the line is. The heart still loves big. It just doesn’t disappear while doing it.
