Chapter 01 / The full story
The story of the Patchwork Bear
“I was never broken. I was just given away in pieces.”
Part 1
Lost
The bear gave a piece to everyone who asked. A patch of time to a friend who only called when they needed something. A patch of sleep to someone else’s emergency. A patch of joy to keep the peace. Nobody noticed the bear getting thinner, because the bear kept smiling while it happened.

Part 2
The turn
One night there was nothing left to give, and for the first time the bear sat still. No one came to ask how it was doing. That silence said everything. The bear picked up a needle and decided the next piece it sewed back would be for itself.

Part 3
Found
Now every patch is a different color, because every piece came back a different way: a no, a rest day, a goodbye, a yes to itself. The seams show, and the bear wears them proudly. Whole doesn’t mean perfect. Whole means yours.

What to carry with you
- Giving everything is not the same as being loved.
- You are allowed to take your pieces back.
